You Have to Eat Well
Food is a big, complex part of your health. Simply Eating more greens and vegetables is one of the most important things you can do to stay healthy. So, make a point to add this daily in your meals. Do not skip your breakfast for any reasons, EVER!
You Have to Sleep Well
This has been a tough one for many entrepreneurs in the recent times. Many have hard time winding down and turning off their minds at night. Adequate sleep fuels your mind, as well as your body. Feeling tired will increase your stress because it may cause you to think irrationally.
So, one recent solution suggested is to have a digital sunset at least an hour or two before you sleep. Make sure you are away from any type of screen. If its OK you can even switch off your phone or put in airplane mode. This eliminates the temptation to do “one more thing” so your mind can cool down and prepare for sleep.
You Have to Move!
Exercise is the most important fundamental thing to do. Basically as entrepreneurs we are perceived to move a lot in a day’s work. However, most of us end up sitting behind the desk for a long time. Exercise helps with depression, clear thinking, and higher energy levels. Exercise releases endorphins that make you feel good, and it can also serve as a valuable distraction from your daily worries. So, make it a point to exercise daily, even if it’s a small 15-minute session at home. Always remind yourself to MOVE.
You Need to Feel Good
If you’re living with high levels of stress, you’re putting your entire well-being at risk. Stress wreaks havoc on your emotional equilibrium, as well as your physical health. It narrows your ability to think clearly, function effectively, and enjoy life.
Important part of staying healthy is to feel good and be full of energy. Have a routine that fits into you’re your day. Normally start the day with a session of meditation, visualization, movement, and journaling. It’s an amazing way to prime your brain for a successful day.
You Need to Socialize
There is nothing more calming than spending quality time with another human being who makes you feel safe and understood. In fact, face-to-face interaction triggers a cascade of hormones that counteracts the body’s defensive fight-or-flight response. Socializing encompasses both learning and teaching and it acts as a means by which social and cultural continuity are attained. It’s nature’s natural stress reliever as an added bonus, it also helps stave off depression and anxiety. So make it a point to connect regularly and in person with family and friends.
